For me how I would describe a glitch as an error in the code that allows the player to perform an act or task that would in normal gameplay not be possible. For example, walking through a solid object like a door or piece of furniture. I play a lot of Phasmophobia so much so I find a new glitch every update which is both fun and interesting. The way I would distinguish a glitch from a bug is that a glitch isn't a common occurrence when a bug is always going to happen no matter the level or round.

This weekend I was playing the new update for the beta of Phasmo and we came across a glitch that some of the doors were open during the hunt of the ghost. The thing that is supposed to happen is the doors are to close and lock while the ghost hunts you. Because the doors were open the players were able to leave and not be killed since the AI was confined to the house, this glitch doesn't happen to every house just specific ones. The video I linked was another front door glitch that was fixed in earlier patches but shows the same idea as the current glitch. I don't think glitches ruin the game experience. It for me is a fun change to the scary reality I'm playing in. I like finding the glitches and it makes me wonder what went wrong and how can I either exploit it to make it worst or how would I fix it. I like how Menkman phrases it on page 340. “ I experience the glitch as a wonderful interruption that shifts an object away from its ordinary form and discourse, towards the ruins of destroyed meaning.(Menkman 340)”
